The festival and conference provides career-driving creative assets at no additional fee to attendees.
Festival and conference All 3 Coasts (A3C) is returning to Atlanta this fall and bringing back its second annual Creator Complex that provides $100,000 in services for hip-hop artists. On Oct. 5, A3C artists can stop by the Creator Complex between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. to meet up with creative professionals and company experts to create valuable digital assets and provide actionable insight.
At Georgia State University's Creative Media Industries Institute, artists and producers will be able to get headshots, master music, make beats, record tracks, write bios, develop websites, optimize their YouTube pages, audit their social media accounts and more. Each asset station will be provided and staffed by 2018 Complex Center partners YouTube, Landing Lion, AKAI, Sounds.com, Native Instruments, Motion Family, Gray Matter Collective, DJ Scratch Academy, SocialWerk, Wish Media and LANDR. The Creator Complex is in association with -- and operated by -- istandard.
"A3C is dedicated to providing artists with information, connections and resources to be successful, and the Creator Complex is the manifestation of that mission,” explains A3C director Mike Walbert in a release. “No conference, festival, or organization has developed anything like the Creator Complex, and we're immensely proud of the impact will have on artists’ lives."
The Creator Complex and its services are available for free to all official 2018 A3C artists, DJs and producers, as well as executive-, 5-day- and conference-wristband holders.
Attendees will have access to experiences such as one-on-one meetings with YouTube to optimize channels with an audience development specialist, building a website in 30 minutes with Landing Lion and shooting head shots and full body profiles with Motion Family.
“To be able to move through a space that provides support, knowledge and a structure to an individual's career path is truly an experience that cannot be found at any other festival or conference,” said J Hatch, co-founder of istandard. “Not only will attendees gain access to these opportunities, they will leave with high-quality, tangible materials that will enhance their awareness level within the industry they are trying to penetrate.”
Additional 2018 experiences include creating beats and tracks at MPC Live and MPC X demo stations or a Sounds.com remix station, add scratches to records with DJ Scratch Academy, master up to 15 tracks with LANDR and submit work through Gray Matter Collective for an opportunity to collaborate with WLPWR, who has produced Eninem, Wiz Khalifa and more.
When the Creators Complex launched in 2017, over 500 artists and producers were able to take advantage of the $100,000 in free services. The debut resulted in 55 podcasts recorded, 60 websites designed, 100 bios written, 60 albums mastered, 120 headshots taken and more.
A3C festival and conference runs from Oct. 3-7 in Atlanta with performances from Lil Wayne, Wu-Tang Clan, Talib Kweli, Young M.A and more. Additional information on the Creators Complex, passes and lineup can be found at a3cfestival.com.
